Plastic Surgery Part 2

Guess what? I finally did my surgery. Very happy, but alot more poor. I did my surgery yesterday. So will write about it now before I forget what happend on the day of my surgery.

Surgery day

I met up in the lobby a half hour before my surgery. I arrived around 9 in the morning. I felt excited and nervous at same time. Finally, the moment I've been waiting for for many years have come. I waited around five minutes and then the english speaking female that help patients took me to her office to sign 5 papers. The papers mostly had written the risks of surgery and so on, so I had to sign that I understood and agreed to do the surgery. She also gave me a small bag with instructions what to eat etc for the next upcomming weeks while recovering.

She followed me to another room where I was told to put on my clothes for surgery, and only have my panties on underneath. I thought it matched my hair so I had to take a photo.

After we went to another floor where I was told to wait in one of the recovery rooms while my doctors was getting ready for my surgery. I started to become very nervous. I had to ask the lady right before my surgery if I could use the bathroom, most nervous bledder ever. After doing my thing in the bathroom I went to the surgery room. Before surgery they wanted to take before photoes of my my stomach and my back for their partient record, which felt very weird with many people in the room and only in my panties. After taking the photoes I was told to lay down on the table/bed thingy where they put a needle in my arm. The table/bed was kinda formed like a cross, where I had to lay staight with my arms out to both side while they stapped my arms so I could not move. There were 4 ladies in the room and 1 man. The ladies started massaging my and play with my hair to make me feel more calm. They one of the ladies said I soon would become very sleepy. It felt like drinking 100 bottles of soju before I passed out.

Waking up

I woke up after 3 hours surgery by one of the ladies told me to wake up and asking if I were ok. I dont remember what I said because I were so drugged with medicines. I was just half sleeping and very dizzy. I wanted to look down under my shirt to see my stomach, but I could not lift my hands for some hours. When I finally started to feel more awake I looked under my shirt, but I could only see compression garnment around my waist. I kinda wonder how they where able to lift me around during surgery. Hmm.

I laid in bed for maybe three hours like a zombie before a nurse came and asked me if I wanted something to drink. Thank god, I were so thirsty after not being allowed to eat or drink anything 10 hours before surgery. My mouth were soo dry and my throat was hurting alot. Water felt like heaven. I also got some corn soup, but I didnt really feel hungry, maybe the painkillers worked too well.

I did not feel too much pain right after surgery or the first day. I guess the general anesthesia made me feel very little. I could go home the first day because I felt okay and I were not too much in pain.

First day

I thought fixing my stomach and back would not give me any pain at all because I could not feel anything after surgery. But now, today, its really painful. Its hard to walk, lay down and sit. It feels like something is tearing everytime I move. So I'm sitting very still while I'm writing this.
I were told today to come back to the clinic to get some antibiotic shot for not getting infections and make my stomach less swollen. Taking public transportation was not easy when walking like a old woman or a penguin. It was really painful and it took me longer time than usual.
At the clinic again I got my antibiotic shot and also they removed some bandage under my compression garnment so they could clean my stitches. I could see my stomach for the first time! And its sooo much flatter than before! I actually have a almost all flat belly. Its so swollen, so after some weeks it will be even more flat. And after 3 months if will be final results. Oh gosh I wanna go to the beach!

This is my stomach today without my compression garnment. Its very swollen and it's blue everywhere. Its more blue in real life than on this photo. The worst is top of my stomach and on the side under my armpits. But I cannot wear a bra because it hurts so I cant take photo of it right now. But out of all places, my butt hurts the most! Really! To remove fat from lower back the hugh needle goes through your buttcrack (sorry for writing so directly) to the lower part of your back. Not only does my butt hurt. My vayjay (my holy woman part) hurts also, its all blue and painfull after removing fat from lower stomach. So going to toilet is not fun at all, it hurts to sit down.

Thankfully I got more painkillers from the clinic today. And I will go back on sunday to get another shot, and after 5 days I will go back to remove the stiches (they I can finally shower yeey!).

I will update later when I can see how my stomach is after its less swollen.
Peace out!

Placenta Facial Mask Review

I have read about this trend of placenta masks before, but I didn't think I would find it so easilly. While going shopping in Myeongdong I went to beauty shop to buy more facial masks, I always stock up on many masks when I go to Myongdong for shopping, buying at least 50 each time ( I wear masks many times a week).

I have tried other skin products people find wear, like snail lotion and masks. But this time I could find alot of placenta masks.

For those who don't know what a placenta is, you can see it on this photo. Its the babies blood supply during pregnancy and the placenta take cares of the functions the baby can't perform itself.

Placenta masks are suppose to help specially for aging, and for skin to recover faster than with normal masks. The trend of these masks are biggest in Japan and most of the masks are produced there. But it does not stop at only masks. Many celebrities in US are also known for eating their own placenta as a treatment after child birth.

I have had these masks for a time. First I bought it as a joke to give it for my friends back home, because I'm sure they would freak out. But I decided not to give them to anyone because I know no one would use them. But I took the courage to try it on. First I did the smell test, does it smell like a placenta?? Not that I know what a placenta smells like, because I don't have any children and I'm sure I would not smell it even if I did. It smells like a normal mask, surprise?? Does it feel like a placenta when I touch it? Naaah, pretty sure a placenta feels different, maybe more like a pudding and a steak mixed together? It also feel like a normal mask. Does the mask feel like I put a placenta on my face? Its very cold and refreshing, I'm sure a placenta would be warm and not refreshing.

So my conclusion is= Placenta mask is safe. Go and buy some! My skin feels very soft after the mask and I'm sure I will use it again.

Nails

One of the things that I have changed about myself since I moved to Korea is that I take more care of my look, and that means that I spend more time on small things like my nails. Before I moved to Korea I didn't really care about my nails, I did not always wear nailpolish either. But now after seeing nailshops on every street corner I have become more aware of my nails and how they look. But I'm a poor university student, so even if there are nailshops everywhere I don't have money to go back and fix my nails whenever they need a fresh up even if going to nailshop here is quite cheap, at least cheap compared to my country!

Because I've learned to love my nails and pay attention to my nails as much as my hair I've grown a hobby to fix my nails often, I have become a hugh fan of nailart. I love watching youtube videos about different nail designs and I have bought korean nailart books to help me to become better.
I thought I would show some of my latest look on my nails I've done myself even if they are not very professional yet.

This is one of my favorite looks.  It's simple to make but still looks very pretty! Its a white basecolor with sparkles and swarovski stones.

Gold nails with a mirror effect. From one of the first days in desember when I got inspired by my small christmas tree and its ornaments.

Nails also inspired by christmas three and santa! Got santa, sweater print, snowman, and a three on my nails.

Pink Pikachu nails and Minion nails. I were a hugh pokemon fan in elementry school and I still find Pikachu very cute and think its perfect for some cute nails, and pink make them even more girly. I also just recently became a fan on minion after watching the movies far after others.  I guess I'm slow on movie trends wops.

My nails right now. I'm also a hugh fan of sweets! Too bad because I'm on a diet right now and should not eat those kinda things, but it don't harm putting them on nails right? I got a cupcake (yum!), ice cream, bow and a doughnut pluss some heart and dots.

Having fun with nails are so much easier here than home. In Norway it's hard to find nailart tools, cheap nail polishes, nailart bling, fake nails, super super super nailglue and so on. But in Korea it's easy to find, don't have to order things online. I just go to the shopping malls at Dongdaemun where they sell all kinda fun stuff for nails. I also got my favorite store to buy them at, they always give me discounts and also free stuffs. Love shopping in Korea!!

I got plans to take nailart classes before I go home to Norway (still got years left to live here!). In Norway we can't learn real nailart as here in Asia, like over-the-top nailart. Would love to start my own nailshop like here when I'm back in Norway someday.

Anyone else obsessed with nails??

Get pink hair

After I cut my hair short I feel like a tomboy! I still look like a female but it seems like most females have long hair. So to look more girly I decided to color my hair in my favorite color...... Pink!
How to get pink hair

First, if not having really really light blonde hair it will not become pastel pink which I want. I already had blonde hair but not blonde enough so I bleached it once to make sure my hair would get the perfect shade of pink. I like pastel colors the most so I aimed for a pastel-ish pink color.

You will need hairdye, I use Baby Pink from Stargazer. If you want a darker pink color just use it as it is, but I want a more pastel look. For a pastel look mix your own color. Buy a conditioner from whatever brand. And get something to mix it in.

Mix it well together after how strong you want your color. The color will be less strong in your color, so make it a little stronger color than what you want when finished.

Now is the fun part! Put it in your hair for an hour while doing whatever you want. I decided to play playstation while waiting. After one hour (I waited one hour and fifteen minutes because I was to busy playing game to go and shower) wash it out.

And the end result:

With my matching hair extensions.

Todays outfit with my short hair..

Makes hair more interesting right? Think I will do baby violet next time! For those wanting to do this and living in Korea you can buy Manic Panic dye from Gmarket and 11street or if you got more money than me you can check out Lucky Hair, seen them do some cool colors, maybe I should go there sometime.

Plastic Surgery- Part 1

My blog has been pretty much dead for the past year due to reasons like being plain lazy. I decided to start writing some more entries because it might help someone who reads my blog or search about the topic. As many people already know South Korea is famous for plastic surgery, not only is it normal among koreans but Seoul also got a high rate in tourism linked to plastic surgery. As koreans belive beauty is linked to success Korea is now ranked 1st country in the world where people have undergone plastic surgery, moreover, the past few years more than 80,000 tourist have come to Korea only to change the way they look and feel about themself.

Why do they choose Korea, a country far away to change their face or body?
Because they are known to be the best, have good prices and make miracles.

As seen above they can make small changes or pretty much change the whole person, whatever the personal choice might be. Just check youtube, you will be amazed.

Why do I want to write about plastic surgery?
As I said in the start of this entry I want to help those who needs more info about plastic surgery in Korea. I  know this is very taboo, and that many people are against every aspect of getting anything done to someones body. The case is that I myself will undergo a surgery next month in Seoul and I know its hard to find good and enough information. Its easy to find the photoes, but to find any info at all is not as easy. So I will make this part 1, where later I will post my experiences from surgery, recovery and so on.

My story
Most who want to do plastic surgery have a reason why they want to go under the knife, someone don't just wake up one day deciding to spend so much money and also do surgery without a good reason. My reason might not be good enough for everyone, but for me it will be something that is very important.

It started when I was young, maybe 12 years old. I gained alot of weight, maybe it was bad choices of lifestyle, I seriously don't remember or know. But as time went by and at a age of 17, years of bullying and depression I decided to change my life for the better. I was finished being the ugly myself, finished having people calling me fat. The bullying was very bad through school, especially elementry school and junior high school. Being called fat everyday for so many years still hurts today when I look at myself in the mirror, it has scared me more than what people might think. Back to my age of 17. I started to eat healthy, work out everyday for atleast 2 hours. It took me from that age to my age now to loose alot of weight. Let photoes speak for itself =

Belt I used on a dress before, This photo is even taken long time ago, lost some weight after this photo also. But can see I got a muffin on my lower stomach, still got it even if my waist is smaller.

This is me, some years ago. I actually feel very ashamed when I see this photo. Even my boyfriend of one and a half year have not seen it, And this photo is not me on my biggest.

This is my most recent photo taken at New Years Eve.
As all of you see I have lost alot of weight, I'm not fat or overweight anylonger. But there is one hidden body part I never show anyone. My belly. My belly is still big compared to rest of my body, It does not show on this photo under hold in underwear and my black dress, but my belly is what is left on my body to remind me of those days when I was big and bullied everyday. My dream is to wear sweaters without having my flabby belly under, or go to the beach to swim with my friends.  I have tried so hard to get rid of it, so many years with hard exercise and healthy food, nothing worked. So I decided to check my stomach at a plastic surgery clinic in Seoul after alot of research.

The right clinic for me
I searched the internet for a long time, maybe looking through 30 clinics in Seoul. For me safety always comes first so I decided to book an appointment at a known clinic, the oldest in Korea named
Pitangui Plastic Surgery for a free talk about my stomach. They did answer my mail the next day and I decided to drop by a week later. The clinic is located in same street as all the other famous clinics, the street of plastic surgery in Seoul. The clinic is beautiful on the inside, I did not expect it to be so pretty, I thought it would be more scary looking like a hospital, but I was wrong.

This is the first I saw as I entred the clinic. I went to the lobby and waitied to they called my name. It's very posh looking right?
When they called my name a korean english speaking female led me to a another room where I could wait for the doctor to come and speak with me.

I waited in this room for maybe 20 minutes for my doctor to be finished and ready for me while I drank some green tea.

The same lady came back and told me to come with her to the second floor to wait for the doctor in one of the resting rooms while he was getting finished with another patient.

I sat in a room looking like this for around 5 minutes when a new lady and, finally the doctor came to see me. I could ask any question I wanted to the doctor about the surgery and about my stomach. I had to take of my sweater to let the doctor take a closer look at my problem area. He asked if I had lost alot of weight. I said yes, and he said he could see how I had done a good job loosing weight and that rest of my stomach would be impossible for me to get rid of by myself. That explains why after all this hard work still have a flabby big stomach not matching the rest of my new body. After asking him all I needed to know I said my thanks and goodbye to him and the new korean lady said we could go down to her office to talk more.

We went down again to the first floor into her office. The office was super nice also. I had the chance to sit in a fncy chair looking at a screen taking the whole wall to look at before and after photoes. After we just had some small talk when she found out I'm from Norway. Because she have studied in Europe she was talkative about her experiences abroad. She have also done liposuction , and let me ask about her experiences with the doctor and the recovery time after surgery.  We also discussed prices and because I'm a student in Korea she knows I'm not rich, so she decided to give me a discount which is means alot for a poor student like me!
It took 1 hour at the clinic with waiting, meeting the doctor, look at photoes and so on, and it was all free.

Now after thinking alot about my options and thinking about my painful years and weight problem I have paid deposit and gotten appointment next month. I know it will be alot of pain, but I know what I have been through have been more painfull.

Tips for others
For those who want to come here and do as me, please do research first. Many places are selling plastic surgery trips to Korea cheaply, but cheap don't mean its the best option.  Check many clinics, make sure to speak with the doctors first and ask all questions you need to know.  Remember its free to talk with the clinics, so don't just book online. Waitinglist in not longer than 2 weeks for surgery, so if possible go there first before booking.

And if anyone got questions feel free to ask, I would have liked to asked someone also if I could. I know its taboo. Thats why I keep it a secret in real life, because I know people will make mean comments without knowing my story or reason behind it.

And lastly, I will update more later about my experience.

11street Review: High Heel Sandals From Shurishop

I have been looking high and low for the perfect summer shoes for a long time now. I have a closet full of pretty summer dresses waiting for me to wear them. But like most females I have a area on my body I really don't like too much,my short chubby legs, not to forget to mention I'm only 157 cm tall ( or short).Therefor, I have not been able to wear my dresses yet because it looks quite weird together with flat shoes, I badly needed a pair of heels to rock my dresses!

I have been looking all around Seoul in all the hot shopping spots without even spotting a single pair of heels I want to buy. Either they are weird looking, or their heels are crazy high and impossible for me to wear. I kinda gave up and said to myself "well, maybe I just have to go this summer with my chubby legs and no heels?"

But after remembering I could look online I spend some hours, again thinking I could give up, searching both ebay, european shopping pages, american shopping pages without any luck. For my last try I checked 11street again to see if they had what I need. And guess what!! I found the perfect pair for me.

The pictures taken from their seller.

First of all, I love sandal heels which seems very popular this season (You can see them everywhere in Seoul right now!) and I also love shoes with straps. It got everything in my criteria = staps, heels that are not too hard to walk in, cool detail (red under), easy to match with clothes and of course it will look great with my dresses!

It got delivered very quickly, when the delivery guy called me a almost runned upstairs to the hairdresser that recived my paracels because I were soooo excited to see my new shoes. I kinda felt like a child at christmas eve. I was so excited I even forgot to take photo of my paracel before I ripped it open.

And they were as pretty as in the photoes. So first thing I did when I opened the paracel was to put them on,and take photoes to show to my facebook friends (hoping many would click "like" button because they are so cute!!)

My shoe from the side. They look more white in this photo, but they are beige color. I prefer not having all white because they look more dirty easilly.

View from the back of my shoes. The heels were actually higher than I tought they would be, but because the platform at the front also is high its not that bad when putting them on, still good to wear.

From the top. You can see it has gold inside! Very luxerious feeling right? It's like a combination of party heels and everyday heels. Can be used many different outfits, from casual to more dressed up, maybe a night out with the girls in Hongdae??

From the side again without my weird looking foot.

I'm very pleased with this buy. The shoes will be perfect for me during this summer. And I could also reccomend this kinda shoes for those females out there who are not used to wearing high heels but want to try getting used to it. They are easy to walk in, but still give you that extra hight to make you feel alittle more attractive and give you a boost of self confident which all females could use now and then.

Link to seller:

 Purchasing:
Purchasing from this seller was very easy. Just choose model you want to buy ( my shoes are model ATA-3127) and the color if it has options, then chose your size. I paid 42,000 Won total for my pair which is a good price for female shoes. The seller has also so many different shoes to chose from, it actually hard to pick only one pair, but thats the life of a poor student right?
 Shipping:
The shipping was very fast. I recieved it after only few days, think it was two days if I'm not wrong. So I have nothing to complain about the shipping.
 Product:
The product is good! It seems to be of a great quality. And one of the problems I have had before with Korean heels is that they don't fit me right and I cannot wear it. My feet are not too big, but mostly too wide for Korean heels. So I have many times ended up buying heels I cannot wear more than a few hours before they end up in my closet and never see sunlight every again. But these heels actually, suprisingly fit me as a glove. So if you are a western like me with elefant feet I would buy from this seller also.
Will I buy from again?
Yes,yes, yes!! I totally going to save the link for this seller for next time I'm buying high heels here in Korea. Not only is the price and quality good, they can actually fit me! What more can a girl ask for?
What kinda heels will you use this summer???
I will use these!

11Street Review:How To Become Human Unicorn

Hello again dear readers.
Again I have done some internet shopping. This time from Korean online store 11street.
I have always been a hugh fan of  magical creatures, mostly unicorns. Therefor I got the idea while browsing 11street that why not become a human unicorn? It might sound crazy for some, but being a unicorn is one of my dreams, so why not.
To become a unicorn I need a unicorn costume, I need unicorn feet and I wanna be cute like cotton candy. Because it's also spring I want do make my hair pink with some pink hair extensions, which again looks great with a unicorn outfit.
During my browsing I found the seller Sweet Holic that sells animal pajamas. They have pretty much whatever animal you want, and also some other pajamas like unicorn, dragon, dinosaur etc.
So I got really excited when I saw the baby pink unicorn costume. I had to get it!
Look how cute!
I bough it for 29,900 Won, veery cheap! I can just imagine what it would cost back home in Norway. I choose medium size to be sure. I'm 160 cm tall, and these costumes goes after height. Small is from 150-162 cm, medium is 162-175 and large is 175-187 cm. But because I'm very close to the medium size I chose to go for medium, I always become sad when I buy something that is too small.

I bough it and after only 1 day it arrived at my place. So quick! I got very surprised when it arrived so fast, and of course very happy. I could not wait to wear it.

And as I said I also bought matching pink hair extension from Gowoonhair on 11street. This is my second time buying from Gowoonhair because I had a great experience buying from them last time, you can see my last buy from them in my blog also.
My pink extension was originally 99.000 Won, but I got a big discount so the final price was not expensive at all.
My extensions arrived after 3 days after paying, which is also still very fast. I had pink hair back in 2011/2012 but forgot to bring my extensions with me to Korea. And now its spring, and perfect to wear cute pastel colors, I have fallen in love with this seasons trend of pastels. So this is a Must-Have on my spring list.

As they say. pictures say more than 1000 words. So now I will show you guys the photos of the items I have received. Starting with my unicorn pajama.

This is my pajama from the front. I also got matching slippers from the same seller that match my unicorn pajama perfectly.

This is my pajama from the back. It got wings, and a cute tail! First I was worried the tail might be annoying when sleeping, but actually I don't feel it at all, even if I'm the kind of person who sleep on the back. The wings too are okay when sleeping, no problem at all.

From the side.

My attempt to fly with my wings. Didn't really work. Guess I will fly like a pro after some practice, just wait and see!

Cute feet!!

Unicorn head, making me feel like a real unicorn!

Self-cam with my unicorn pajama on while studying. This pajama is so comfortable and perfect when stressed with a lot of schoolwork, guess I'm not the only one who have just been through midterm? Recommended for stressful days indoor!

Or even better, when using other methods of getting rid of stress

Me and my boyfriend with his dinosaur pajama from the same seller, outside eating and drinking at a local restaurant.

Now over to my pink hair extension which I really love alooooot! This section might be some heavy on self-cam, sorry!

These extensions are not only cute together with my pajama, but I have also been using them for my everyday look, when I go outside, or going to my university.

Acting cute, but fail. Who could have known this pink haired girl is actually a 23 year old female?

I must say I'm sorry for my bad picture quality also, these one I took with my cellphone when I was relaxing between doing homeworks. I guess I'm not the only one who had the (bad) habit of taking self-photos while being bored?

But it doesn't stop there. I also took a short video clip with my digital camera, it does not have any sound, but at least you will see more clear what my extensions look like.

Hopefully, the quality will not be to bad. Blogger sometimes makes the quality really bad in videos.

My last photo of me and my extensions is this photo of me and my friend Rebecca, from when we went to Everland some days ago.

The extensions are really easy to use, it took be about 3-4 minutes to apply them. For those who don't know it's clip in extensions which I can put when I wake up and take off before going to bed.

This is how they look like when not being worn. They are quite long, wide and thick. So you don't need many to cover your whole head. It also depends on how much pink you want. On these pictures I'm wearing 4 on the side of my head, two on each side. I blend them together with my brown extensions. I got 6 but I don't need to use all of them at once. 4 covers well enough.

This is how its applied. Simple, and no one can even see it's not real. When I first got my hair I didn't know if its was human hair or not, because I could not read it in Korean, but I just found out its not human hair because I could not curl it, but that's not something I really need to do, so I don't mind. But the hair itself does look real, I would have never guessed its not human hair if I did not try to curl it. Which is a very good sign of course.

This is the end of my picture review and I will I will score overall experience with my 11street shopping this time..

Sweet Holic

Purchasing:

Purchasing was easy, navigating their side and chose right size was no problem at all. 5/5 points
Shipping:
Receiving my product took only 1 day!! So happy with the shipping also. 5/5 points
Product:
The material is quite thick but not too warm. The details are great also, and overall its well designed.
5/5 points.
Will I buy from again?
If I need to buy more animal pajamas I would of course use Sweet Holic again. and it's also great for presents, I might bring some of these home to my friends in Norway during my vacation.

Gowoonhair

Purchasing:
Just as with Sweet Holic I had no problem with buying from Goowonhair, their store is also easy to navigate, and choosing the right options went well also. 5/5 points
Shipping:
It took a little longer than Sweet Holic. But whenever I have bought something online in Korea it has mostly been 3 days waiting time or more. So its still fast compared to other sellers I have used in Korea in the past. Therefor it also get top score even it Sweet Holic was faster. 5/5 points.
Product:
As I said my hair is not human hair, but I could seriously not tell the different between my human hair extensions and these ones. so I got surprised when I noticed they were not real human hair. SO with regarding these are not human hair is of good quality and I have nothing bad to say about them. 5/5 points also.
Will I buy from again?
Yes. This is my second time buying from this seller, and both times I've been pleased with my products. And for those who know me, I love hair, hair is for me the most important accessory I have. So changing it often is important.

Overall experience with 11street has been good. I would recommend others to check out 11street when they have many cheap products with great quality. You can even find same products elsewhere to higher price. So if you wanna save money, and do some fun online shopping go to 11streets webpage. (I'm already addicted, wops)
